A Friend Along the Path

“Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.
It doesn’t matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken
your vowsa thousand times. Come, yet again, come, come.” - Rumi

Whether you are seeking support in navigating any of life's abundant challenges, or have a specific goal to work towards, I am here to support you. My role is to walk alongside you in encouragement of your becoming. In just the way a seed knows how to become a tree, you already contain within you everything you need to bloom. All that's required is cultivating an environment conducive for growth and maturity. At the heart of our work together is this invitation to meet yourself with honesty, patience, and kindness, and to then step confidently into the life you already have. Despite the many challenges we each face, it is possible to find contentment and peace. I would be honored to earn your trust as a friend along the path.

What does huwa mean?

Huwa is an Arabic word that points to the divine and understood as the primal breath of existence. It is often used in Sufism to point to the essence of all things beyond form. Huwa is then both divinity and breath, our most intimate and constant companion. This is the source of our ability to face adversity, and our capacity for beauty and joy.

Salam, my name is Moudi

I use he/they pronouns. I'm a psychotherapist, certified mindfulness instructor, writing facilitator, and published author & poet. I approach my work from an integrative and holistic perspective of the whole person as a relational and interconnected being. My natural orientation is to connect body, heart, mind, and spirit as a place of sacred intimacy and belonging in the web of being alive. I often weave writing and poetry as transpersonal practices in self-discovery and relational healing. In our time together we'll work on cultivating a mindful attitude towards life through the framework of attention, awareness, acceptance, and awe.
